Geocgi is looking for a Senior Developer to support our client, the US Coast Guard Bridges Office. The candidate will serve as the lead developer on a small, collaborative development team. This position is a remote opportunity working core hours on Eastern Standard Time. Previous remote work experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop public-facing front-end web applications to support the USCG Bridge Permitting workflow
- Collaborate across development teams, including government personnel and subcontractors
- Assist with the development production pipeline, including resolving merge conflicts, running code refreshes, updating documentation, providing internal testing and QC
- Work in a highly communicative, geographically dispersed small team
- Communicate effectively about complex technological concepts with non-technical SMEs, including government stakeholders and end-users
- Provide technical insights and recommendations to stakeholders and team members
- Occasionally participate in broader documentation or business development efforts, i.e., providing technical insight for proposals

The following are requirements of the Senior Developer:
- U.S. Citizen.
- 7 years of cumulative development experience with a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or 5 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
- 5+ years of experience with JavaScript development
- 4+ years of Angular/Typescript
- 6+ years of client-facing development
- Some familiarity with Esri development/Esri APIs
- 5+ years of collaborative agile development pipeline experience
The following are preferred of the Senior Developer:
- CompTIA Security+
- DHS Suitability
- DoD Clearance
- Technical mentorship experience
The annual base salary range for this position is anticipated to be $120,000-$130,000 USD. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position.
