As we build our independent supply chain capabilities, the Solution Architect - Forecasting & Replenishment will lead the technical strategy, discovery, and evaluation of modern demand planning and inventory replenishment solutions. This role acts as the primary architectural authority for this critical domain, driving platform-agnostic options analysis and ensuring the selected solution seamlessly integrates with our target state, including the broader ERP rollout.
The architect will provide critical guidance from initial discovery through to implementation, defining integration blueprints, mapping complex data flows, and maintaining end-to-end solution integrity across the supply chain ecosystem. This role requires deep expertise in forecasting logic, inventory optimization, and replenishment processes, combined with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment to align business value with sustainable technology outcomes.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the internal tech teams during the Replenishment evaluation and ongoing ERP rollout.
Market Awareness: Stay current on Supply Chain technology trends .
Architectural Leadership & Collaborative Decision Making
Architecture-Led Discovery: Lead the technical discovery phase of new initiatives by facilitating workshops with cross-functional teams to uncover requirements, identify constraints, and challenge assumptions.
Option Analysis & Recommendation: Critically evaluate multiple technical pathways, documenting the trade-offs, costs, and risks of each to provide a clear, value-based recommendation.
Decisive Problem Solving: Act as a "decider" in complex technical debates; possess the ability to listen empathetically to diverse stakeholder views while maintaining the authority to make firm, evidence-based architectural decisions that keep the project moving.
Value-Driven Design: Ensure every architectural decision is anchored in business value—optimizing for speed-to-market, cost-efficiency, or operational simplicity as the situation demands.
Negotiation & Influence: Navigate conflicting priorities between business desire and technical feasibility, using data and architectural principles to influence stakeholders toward the most sustainable long-term solution.
Qualifications
Now let’s talk about you:
Supply Chain & Forecasting: Exceptional, hands-on experience and functional knowledge in Retail Supply Chain technologies, specifically Forecasting and Replenishment systems.
ERP Integration: Extensive proven experience supporting large-scale ERP programs from a Retail architecture perspective.
RFP & Options Analysis: Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate vendor solutions, draft high-quality architectural options papers, and present definitive recommendations.
Governance Navigation: Deep experience partnering directly with vendors on system design and successfully navigating those designs through an Architecture Review Board (ARB).
The "Influential Architect": Ability to lead discovery workshops, facilitate technical trade-off discussions, and drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.
Strategic Communication: Ability to pivot communication styles - discussing API specs with developers one hour and presenting high-level value to Business Leads the next.
Decisiveness: A history of making firm architectural decisions, backed by logic, data, and a focus on long-term maintainability.
Experience working in agile, product-led delivery environments
Desirable
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
Architecture Frameworks: Strong working knowledge of TOGAF or similar frameworks, with the ability to apply these principles pragmatically within an Agile delivery environment.
Agile Methodology: Familiarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or Scrum, specifically the role of architectural runway in supporting sprint-based delivery.
Platform & Technical Certifications
Enterprise Platforms: SAP: Certifications in SAP S/4HANA
Supplychain Platforms; : Experience in Supply Chain platforms such as O9, Relex , SAP
Tooling & Documentation
Architecture Modeling: Proficiency with modern, data-driven architecture tools (ideally Ardoq) to maintain living documentation, map dependencies, and visualize the impact of change across the store services landscape.
Visual Documentation: Skill in using LucidChart, or similar tools to create clear sequence diagrams, patterns, and system boundary maps.
