Senior Data Analyst (Finance)

Job Description

As a Senior Finance Data Analyst, you will leverage your expertise to directly impact the strategy, growth, and financial operations of our 16 markets by delivering actionable insights and advanced analytics and reporting solutions. In this role, you’ll work as a critical thought partner with senior Finance and FinTech leaders to influence strategy, mentor junior analysts, and leverage AI to build the future of finance analytics. This is a high-visibility position that plays a pivotal role in data-driven decision-making.

• Financial Reporting and Analytics: Design robust internal and external reporting and measurement solutions for financial operations and FinTech initiatives ranging from projecting and/or evaluating the impact of campaigns to measuring the value of key FinTech partnerships.
• Advanced Data Modeling & Measurement: Define measurement frameworks and metric definitions for key financial operations; Lead the development of complex SQL models to implement as well as transform massive datasets into actionable insights using tools like BigQuery and dbt.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: Collaborate closely with senior finance partners to understand strategic objectives, recommend analytics solutions, negotiate priorities, and present insights effectively.
• Strategic Reporting & Visualization: Design and build compelling, user-friendly data assets including both traditional dashboards (e.g. Looker, Tableau) and agentic solutions (e.g. root-cause analysis agents) that facilitate decision-making for business leaders. 
• Mentorship & Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, enhancing their technical skills and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• AI-Driven Analytics & Automation: Identify, design, and implement AI-powered solutions that transform how finance analytics operates — including agentic workflows (e.g. root-cause analysis agents, automated anomaly detection), LLM-assisted insight generation, and prompt-engineered pipelines. Translate repeatable analyst and financial workflows into scalable AI tools. Act as a driver of AI adoption within the team, setting standards and upskilling junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Finance, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics with a strong focus on SQL,python, data modeling, and data visualization.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Finance or similar teams, with a track record of influencing leadership and driving financial operations, reporting, or FinTech optimizations via actionable, data-backed recommendations.
• Experience with Payments and/or Financial Products a strong asset.
• Proficiency with advanced SQL (preferably with BigQuery or similar DWH) and experience in Looker or Tableau. Familiarity with dbt/Airflow is a plus.
• Solid background in statistical analysis, including experimentation and data modeling.
• Experience leading or mentoring other analysts, with an ability to foster teamwork and collaboration.
• Strong business acumen with excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently on complex projects and deliver high-impact results in a fast-paced environment.
