Job Description

SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER" - M/PQT3-IN : CASTING EXPERT 
(1. Casting expert - Non Ferrous - HPDC, GDC process, technology and Mold flow analysis, Tool/Die manufacturing techniques and series parts claims handling with 8D method and deploying quality enablers at suppliers for series parts . 2. Ferrous casting expert : Process and Technology , series parts quality handling and deploying enablers)3.Support to NPD as casting expert

 

Qualifications

Material Field : CASTING -FERROUS AND NON - FERROUS
Engineering Graduate (B.E /B.TECH) ,desiring PGD in any specialization (Tool and Die making will be preferred) with Good technical know how on Casting commodity (working experience of 8-10 years  + Good interpersonal and Communication skills
Technical point of contact to plant of supplier for general and strategic tasks
 Responsible for quality, production & Assembly process related issues at the casting supplier in series
 Ability to solve technical issues at supplier using the principle of "on-site, on-the-spot"
 Evaluates overall quality performance of the supplier
 Responsible for supplier development / improvement with respect to QMS,
 Management of technology and expertise in specific material field
 Knowledge on quality methods & tools
 Knowledge on automotive standards IATF16949 / VDA 6.3
Required knowledge competencies and attributes*
 B.E/B.TECH.M-TECH - Mechanical Engineering (with additional course in Tool and Die making and other casting related process know how will be an added advantage)
 Knowledge on Casting process for both ferrous and Non-ferrous ,Machines, Tool and Die making, flow Simulation and Analysis of casting defects
 Basic knowledge on manufacturing process, Inspection , Problem solving Techniques
 Pro-active and willingness to take challenge
 Problem solving skills
 Experience in QMS process
 Reliable ,co-operative with team spirit and Result oriented.
