Python Automation Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a strong Python Automation Engineer to join our Voice Engineering organization and support automation, platform modernization, and API integration initiatives within Unified Communications (UC) environments.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building Python-based automation frameworks, APIs, dashboards, and cloud-integrated solutions in enterprise environments. This role requires strong backend development skills, experience working with large datasets and integrations, and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation solutions and backend services.
• Build and support REST APIs and integrations with enterprise platforms and external systems.
• Develop automation frameworks and scripts to support infrastructure, security, and operational initiatives.
• Support dashboard development and data aggregation from platforms such as Webex, Verint, GitLab, and other enterprise tools.
• Develop scalable data processing solutions for parsing and handling large datasets efficiently.
• Collaborate with Voice Engineering, Operations, Security, and Product Lifecycle teams on modernization initiatives.
• Support migration activities from on-premise platforms to cloud-based environments.
• Work across AWS and Azure cloud environments to support automation and platform integration needs.
• Develop and implement AI-powered automation solutions using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages/Agents, Copilot Studio), including development of Copilot-based agents and intelligent workflows
• Deliver AI-driven automation use cases across operations and governance, including task automation, audit & compliance workflows, and AI-assisted workflow/script generation
• Implement CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps and Git.
• Participate in troubleshooting, optimization, and performance improvement activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate within Agile delivery teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• This is an on-site role, with 4 days a week working from Gurgaon office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Python development, automation engineering, or backend engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and backend development frameworks such as Flask, Django, or similar.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs.
• Experience building automation frameworks and enterprise integration solutions.
• Good understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience working with MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO), Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools such as Tableau is preferred.
• Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio)
• Exposure to AI-driven automation use cases (workflow generation, audit, governance)
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance optimization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced enterprise environment while collaborating effectively across distributed teams.

Nice to Have

• Experience within Unified Communications (UC), Voice Engineering, or collaboration platforms.
• Exposure to Webex, Verint, GitLab APIs, or similar enterprise integrations.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and frontend/backend integrations.
• Experience working with data processing libraries such as Pandas is a plus.
• Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Knowledge of automation related to security patching and operational governance.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
