The Role

We are seeking to recruit an excellent abogado that works in the Antitrust practice area of a prestigious law firm to join our Antitrust & Trade global product group in Madrid.

The Work

We advise major clients from all key sectors on complex antitrust matters worldwide. We secure clearances in challenging merger control proceedings and represent clients in multi-jurisdictional cartel, market investigation, enforcement, and dominance cases. Our team includes specialists on FDI and FSR matters, as well as CFIUS and trade experts in the US. We work closely with other GPGs to help clients manage cross-border investment issues. We also design compliance programmes advising clients on how to navigate antitrust and regulatory risk. Several team members bring insight from an enforcer's perspective, having previously served as regulators at bodies such as the EU Commission, the US DOJ and FTC, UK CMA, ACCC in Australia and MOFCOM in China.
 

The Team

Our Antitrust & Trade team in Madrid, comprising one partner, two counsels and five associates, has been consistently highly ranked over the years.
 

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications

We would like to hear from outstanding Spanish abogados that have 1 or 2 PQE in the Antitrust & Trade practice area of a prestigious law firm.

You will have a fluent command of both oral and written English, an excellent academic record and be used to dealing with international clients.

You should be technically rigorous, have first class drafting ability, highly developed analytical and project management skills and a common sense approach to resolving issues.  Conscious of the importance of generating results, you will be proactive, client focused and service-oriented, even when under pressure.

We are looking for people that are flexible and creative in their approach and excellent team-players, capable of developing constructive working relationships with colleagues and clients alike, contributing enthusiastically, confidently and effectively in group situations and discussions.
