HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Lead Logistics Coordinator is responsible for leading and coordinating the daily shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material movement activities within the facility. This position serves as the primary point of contact for logistics operations and works directly alongside team members to ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of materials and finished goods.
The Lead Logistics Coordinator provides leadership for two Shipping and Receiving employees, including employee coaching, performance management, time administration, training, and development activities. While this role has direct reports, it is a hands-on working lead position that remains actively engaged in daily shop floor and warehouse operations.
Your Tasks
- Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to support production schedules and customer requirements.
- Process inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy of documentation and inventory transactions.
- Schedule and communicate with carriers, freight providers, and drivers regarding shipment and delivery activities.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, proper material handling and transaction processing.
- Operate forklifts for loading, unloading, staging, and movement of materials throughout the facility.
- Investigate and resolve shipping, receiving, inventory, and transportation discrepancies.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the logistics function.
- Partner with Human Resources and Supply Chain leadership regarding employee relations, performance concerns, and development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and work rules.
- Participate in the annual performance and merit review process
- Maintain compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental standards.

- The job is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise.

Qualifications
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience leading, training, or coordinating the work of others.
- Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
ADDITIONAL WAYS TO STAND OUT
- Associate's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with SAP S4 Hana
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience conducting performance reviews, employee coaching, and workforce planning activities.
