About Nivoda

Nivoda’s growth trajectory has skyrocketed over the past 12 months, and we continue to expand across new regions at an unprecedented pace. Our DNA centers on understanding our customers' needs and offering them a seamless experience. With a growing team based in major cities worldwide, including London, New York, Hong Kong, and Mumbai, Nivoda is becoming the go-to marketplace for the global jewelry industry.

We are bold, innovative, and relentless in our pursuit of excellence as we transform an industry steeped in tradition.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly autonomous Data Scientist to join our Fulfilment team. This is a pure data science role — not a generalist analytics position — focused on building predictive models and forecasting systems that directly optimise our supply chain performance.

You will own delivery prediction, demand forecasting, and inventory optimisation across our global hub network, helping us move from broad time-window estimates to precise, reliable delivery dates for diamonds, melee, gemstones, and jewellery. Your success will be measured by speed improvements, accuracy gains, and supply chain efficiencies you can directly demonstrate.

What You'll Do

Delivery Prediction

  • Build and iterate on predictive models that move us from ranges (e.g. '3–5 days') to accurate, specific delivery dates

  • Incorporate hub performance data, team throughput, and routing logic to continuously improve prediction accuracy

Demand Forecasting

  • Develop and own demand forecasting models for Express offerings across diamonds, melee, gemstones, and jewellery

  • Determine optimal inventory levels by hub and product type to meet demand without overstocking

Supply Chain Optimisation

  • Identify opportunities to reduce lead times and improve fulfilment accuracy across the network

  • Partner closely with data engineering team to define data requirements and build robust pipelines

  • Surface actionable insights to the Fulfilment org to drive speed and accuracy — two of the company's three core pillars (quality, speed, price)

What You’ll Need

  • 5 - 7+ years of experience as a data scientist, with a strong track record of building and deploying predictive models in production

  • Proficiency in machine learning, statistical modelling, and forecasting techniques

  • Ability to work highly autonomously — you own your work end-to-end without needing close supervision

  • Strong collaboration skills; experience working with data engineering teams to translate model requirements into data infrastructure

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in supply chain, logistics, or fulfilment — experience with replenishment problems, routing logic, or inventory optimisation is highly valued

  • Experience at companies with complex operational data challenges or similar fast-commerce or on-demand logistics businesses

  • Familiarity with real-time or dynamic data systems at scale

  • Physical proximity to one of our hubs (Netherlands or London) — being close to operations helps ground model development in operational reality

What We Offer

🕰️ Flexible working hours and a vibrant company culture
💻 Remote work
🧠 Plenty of opportunities for growth and learning
🏖️ Unlimited holiday allowance
🚀 Chance to join and contribute to a company during its exponential expansion phase
