Reporting to the Supervisor - Buildings, you will be responsible for carrying out preventive maintenance regularly and routinely on building infrastructure to reduce the chances of buildings failure and unplanned breakdowns within the township and across the site.
Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Carry out maintenance, repair, and construction of wooden, composite, and structural components across site facilities.
- Install, maintain, and repair flooring, roofing, partitions, platforms, doors, handrails, barricades, and formwork.
- Conduct routine inspections of site buildings and structures to identify defects, hazards, or required maintenance.
- Support shutdowns planned maintenance activities, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
- Collaborate with other trades within the maintenance team to complete multi-disciplinary tasks.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with mining safety standards, SOPs, and permit-to-work procedures.
- Accurately interpret drawings, work orders, and technical instructions.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and contribute to continuous improvement in maintenance practices.
- To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Install, maintain, and repair flooring, roofing, partitions, platforms, doors, handrails, barricades, and formwork.

- To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:
- Full Grade Twelve School Certificate
- Minimum Trade qualification as a Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in mining, heavy industrial, or similar
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools like drills, saws, and sanders is essential
- Strong understanding of hazard identification, risk mitigation, and safe work procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Physically capable of performing manual labour in outdoor and remote mining conditions.
- Holder of a valid Zambian driver’s license; will be an added advantage.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
