To lead and assist in the pursuit of efficiency, operational excellence, and world-class customer service.
Manager Business Operations (District) Core Competencies
- Analytical: Has the ability to problem solve using quantitative and qualitative analysis to understand process issues. Can map out processes and clearly identify areas for improvement and efficiency opportunities. Comfortable analyzing large sets of complex data.

Manager Business Operations (District) Responsibilities
- Drive Global Business Operations Strategies and Principles to enable world class performance
- Consume, train, and monitor usage of new processes and technologies
- Own the Quality Management System (QMS) in pursuit of efficiency, profitability, and consistency
- Improve operational performance through analytics and observation
- Provide employee development, training, and mentorship to form a quality and process fundamental mindset
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relations with the Global Network
- Support local solutions that improve efficiency and enable visibility in alignment with global standards
- Other tasks/duties as deemed appropriate by your management team.
Qualifications
- Expeditors Product and Service knowledge. More than 2 years of experience within operations preferred
Strong Leadership Skills
- Self-management and project management skills
- Proficient in process mapping, execution of root-cause analysis and using problem-solving techniques
- Prior experience leading communication, public speaking, and training
- Effective interpersonal skills, with ability to relate to employees at all levels
- Strong PC and analytical skills, including experience with Microsoft Office. Power BI, SharePoint, and Visio
- High School Degree or equivalent required
Passed Background Check
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must not require future sponsorship for employment Visa
- Must have the ability to work overtime in support of department needs
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organized
- Demonstrated ability to be pro-active in thought and action
Strong Organization Skills
- Analytical with strong attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Willing to pitch in and help on last minute projects or assist team members
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
- Has a demonstrated strong work ethic, and reliability
- Comfortable working in a professional business environment
- Customer service experience (preferred)
- Global logistics industry knowledge (preferred)
- College/University or equivalent business qualifications (preferred)
