Technical Project Manager

Brisbane | Full-time | Hybrid flexibility

Help build the backbone of Australia’s energy transition.

RedEarth Energy Storage is a fast-scaling Australian Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturer delivering smart, modular, and safe energy storage solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Our systems sit at the heart of the clean energy ecosystem, supporting installers, distributors, and large-scale users as Australia moves toward a net-zero future.

As we grow, we’re investing heavily in strong delivery, technical excellence, and customer trust. That’s where this role comes in.

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to own and drive complex, cross-functional projects from concept through to launch and beyond. You’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, product, and the business, ensuring projects are technically sound, delivered on time, and aligned with RedEarth’s strategic goals.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You’ll help bring new energy storage products to life while shaping how project management works across a growing R&D organisation.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

  • Owning end-to-end technical projects across product development, from planning through delivery and review
  • Translating business needs into clear technical plans and executable project roadmaps
  • Building and maintaining project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Acting as the connective tissue between engineering, product, operations, sales, and customer teams
  • Identifying risks, dependencies, and technical challenges early and managing them proactively
  • Applying agile, Scrum, or structured project methodologies to keep teams aligned and moving
  • Supporting documentation, system requirements, testing, and quality processes
  • Leading post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Supporting customer-facing teams with complex technical challenges when needed

  • Enjoy bringing structure to fast-moving, technical environments
  • Are confident working across disciplines and communicating with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders
  • Take ownership and initiative, balancing hands-on execution with big-picture thinking
  • Are naturally collaborative and enjoy helping teams do their best work
  • Like building processes, not just following them

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a technical or R&D-driven environment
  • Experience leading engineering-focused projects end to end
  • Comfort using project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar

Bonus Points For:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering
  • Experience with residential or industrial BESS systems, microgrids, or hybrid energy systems
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools
  • Make a real impact on Australia’s transition to clean energy
  • Own and shape how technical projects are delivered in a growing business
  • Work with high-performance, technology-first energy storage systems
  • Collaborate with passionate, driven people across engineering, product, and operations
  • Competitive salary and flexible work arrangements
