Job Description:
Responsibilities
• Advise clients on corporate, partnership, individual and trust and estate tax services
• Help determine tax service objectives, scope and methodology and actively participate in communications with client management to understand the client’s business and to identify possible tax solutions
• Oversee the calculation and analysis of tax strategies for clients and assist with delivering to the client
• Manage and review the preparation of corporate, partnership, or individuals, including federal, foreign, state and local tax return, estimated payments and extensions. Monitor, document and apply the tax laws for US tax return preparation
• Continue to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities
• Provide both leadership (mentoring and coaching) and supervision to Tax Seniors and Staff
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute towards implementing them
Qualifications
- Bachelor's /Master’s degree with a major in accounting and CPA (US) or CA (ICAI).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in US Taxation
- Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
- Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
- Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
- Prior experience working with large, multi-state, internationally active middle-market clients preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently
- Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
- Ability to work overtime, as needed
- Ability to travel as needed
