Summary Of The Role

Manage an assigned area or team by planning, organizing, and following up on maintenance of the assets and property to ensure reliable and cost-efficient operations and quality. 

This position will be reporting to Maintenance Manager and will be based in Chonburi, Thailand.

Responsibilities:

Fire active and passive responsibility

  • Knowledge of designing and reviewing fire protection systems (e.g., fire alarms, sprinklers, suppression systems) following NFPA, FM Global, and local codes.
  • Conduct fire risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure proper implementation of fire safety requirements in projects, and review and approve fire protection-related documents, drawings, and specifications
  • Carry out fire safety inspections, audits, and system testing/commissioning.

Utility Responsibility

  • Monitor, operate, and maintain air compressor and chiller systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Coordinate with utility service providers (contractors) to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Review and verify utility consumption data, system efficiency, and monthly service reports from contractors.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to air compressor and chiller performance, including alarms, pressure fluctuations, cooling efficiency, etc.
  • Manage preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and ensure timely execution by in-house technicians or external vendors.
  • Support energy-saving initiatives and propose improvements to utility system performance or cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all utility systems comply with local safety, environmental, and engineering regulations.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams (maintenance, production, HSE) to ensure utilities support plant operations effectively.
  • Assist in budgeting, utility cost analysis, and CAPEX planning for system upgrades or replacements.
  • Investigate fire incidents (if any) and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Provide fire safety training and emergency response planning to employees and contractors.
  • Ensure all fire systems are properly maintained, tested, and documented.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER

Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in fire protection design, inspection, or safety engineering with a utility.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as NFPA, IFC, FM Global, and local fire codes.
  • Professional certifications, NFPA Certification is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of industrial utility systems (compressed air, chilled water, cooling towers, etc.)
  • Experience working with third-party service providers or utility contracts is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency principles, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) is a plus.
