The IT Network Engineer designs, implements, and maintains secure, reliable, and high-performing network infrastructure across company locations. The role includes hands-on management of Cisco and Fortinet technologies, monitoring network health, resolving on-premises and cloud connectivity issues, and ensuring network security, scalability, and performance. The engineer collaborates with cross-functional IT teams, supports business needs, contributes to security initiatives, and maintains accurate technical documentation while proactively improving network capacity and efficiency.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Design and implement functional and secure network infrastructure
- Maintain, configure, and administer network equipment (Cisco, Fortinet)
- Monitor and manage network performance, availability, and integrity
- Troubleshoot on-premises and cloud network issues
- Maintain complete and accurate technical documentation
- Suggest and implement improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability
- Participate in security assessments and assist in enforcing network security policies
- Conduct security and risk assessments and recommend improvement
- Act as a technical escalation point for complex issues
- Participate in customer workshops, technical reviews, and solution design sessions
- Travel to project sites as required
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to support ongoing business and infrastructure needs
- Work closely with architects, security teams, and project managers on network design, security initiatives, and project delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. MSc. is considered a plus
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in network engineering, network operations, infrastructure, or IT networking roles
- Solid understanding and strong hands-on expertise on security and networking principles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Cisco Call Manager, IT/OT Environments and Fortinet Certifications is a plus
- Knowledge of industry security and compliance standards is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal knowledge of English. Knowledge of an additional language is a plus
- Availability to travel as required
