Our office in Conshohocken, PA manages the administrative, human resources, accounting, marketing, and other supportive services for the hospitals in our network. This is a hybrid position, 50% in office, 50% remote.  Candidates within a commutable distance to our Conshohocken, PA office, are encouraged to apply. 

Summary of Job Requirements 

The Staff Accountant will support the Accounting Department by performing everyday tasks that will enhance the overall workflow of the organization. The Staff Accountant will contribute to the overall success of the organization by developing a thorough understanding of the core duties, as outlined below, and integrating them within the accounting department. The Staff Accountant will help ensure that policies and procedures are being followed throughout the organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Review and finalize daily payment activity from daily reports (cash, checks, and credit cards) 
  • File Sales Tax Returns, multi-state
  • Month-end Closing
  • Reconcile merchant statements
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Review and reconcile month-end revenue entries
  • Account analysis and update Balance Sheet Roll Forward Schedules (accrued, prepaid expense schedule, etc.) 
  • Perform Accounts Receivable Aging and Inventory Report analysis, ties to the general ledger 
  • File Annual Personal Property Returns 
  • Maintain and reconcile Fixed Assets & Depreciation schedules
  • Enter journal entries as required
  • Other tasks as assigned 

Requirements:

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting required
  • 2-5 years of experience in General Accounting 
  • Sage Intacct and Excel experience necessary
  • Possess effective technical knowledge related to the work assignments 
  • Excellent organizational, problem solving, critical/analytical thinking, written and oral communication, interpersonal and computer skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and proper application of accounting fundamentals
