The Business Development Manager reports to the Field Sales Manager. Their main responsibilities will inclde the following:
- Achieve sales revenue targets by ensuring the execution of approved sales plan;
- Seek out new business opportunities within the independent and comprehensive optical sector;
- Develop strategy to launch new products of the Company;
- Increase the Company’s perceived market value by providing excellent service and maintaining a low customer complaint rate;
- Provide timely reports on performance to the Sales Manager- Poland, including on sales and customer contacts as well as other relevant market and competitor activities;
- Fulfil any related duties connected to the Company’s business. Represent the Company at seminars, exhibitions and meetings as required; Adhere to the Company’s financial and corporate principles.
- Provide comprehensive service to the existing customer base and liaise with the Customer Service Department in the UK;
- Provide service to the customers as directed by manager and in co-operation with the Polish Sales Team;
- Complete all administrative duties including the upkeep of a complete customer base along with customer records;
- Establish and build effective and productive relationships with customers/accounts and provide regular feedback;
- Effectively solve problems to ensure the achievement of sales targets;
- Keep up to date with the activity carried out by customers, including activities of a competitive nature as well as competition within the industry.
- Brief customers’ staff on trends and developments – become “the contact lens expert” to the customers.
- Good knowledge and understanding of customer, consumer and industry;
- Proactive, independent, responsible, self-starter approach, self-motivated;
- Very good working time organisation and planning;
- Problem solving & analytical skills;
- Customer focus;
- Good communication skills to cooperate with customers and CooperVision team;
- Basic knowledge of English language;
- Knowledge of optics and eye construction desirable;
- This role will be primarily field based in the designated area but may require business travels to other parts of Poland and occasionally abroad.
- A minimum of 5 year’s sales experience in pharmaceutical / healthcare / medical devices / FMCG industry, including 2 years’ experience as sales representative.
- Demonstrable experience in working in a professional business to business environment.
- University Master degree
