Senior Accountant

Role Description:

As a Senior Accountant on our international Finance team, you will play a critical, hands-on role supporting global accounting operations, including concurrent statutory audits, annual and month-end close activities, and participation in an upcoming ERP transition. This is a fully remote role based in Europe, requiring a highly self-directed professional who can operate independently across time zones while partnering closely with a primarily U.S.-based team. Success in this role depends on strong technical accounting expertise, sound professional judgment, and the ability to take ownership of deliverables, proactively drive issues to resolution, and fully own external audit relationships as the accountable point of contact across jurisdictions.

Operating within a fast-paced, multinational technology-enabled professional services company spanning Europe, APAC, and North America, you will be the key audit liaison, coordinating audit requests, preparing audit-ready documentation, and communicating confidently and appropriately with external auditors and advisors across time zones as well as independently manage key accounting and close responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Audit & Statutory Reporting

  • Responsible for certain statutory audits, including managing audit timelines and coordinating responses to auditor requests.
  • Prepare, review, and present supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for external auditors.
  • Apply sound professional judgment in addressing audit inquiries, including assessing the appropriateness and scope of requests, providing clear and concise responses, and appropriately challenging requests that are unclear, excessive, or outside scope.
  • Coordinate with regional advisors and internal stakeholders to support statutory audit requirements.

General Accounting & Financial Close

  • Support and execute month-end close processes across multiple legal entities.
  • Review P&L activity for accuracy, completeness, and proper period recognition.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, reclassifications, and standard close entries.
  • Ensure compliance with global accounting policies and internal control standards.
  • Support EU and APAC tax and statutory compliance activities, including VAT/GST filings.

Intercompany & Transfer Pricing

  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and coordinate settlement with global teams.
  • Maintain transfer pricing policies and ensure cross-charges and allocations follow internal policy guidelines.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; including a professional accounting qualification
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a global, multi-entity environment.
  • A proven track record of statutory audits and working directly with external auditors.
  • Strong technical accounting acumen.
  • A working knowledge of multi-currency accounting and transfer pricing.
  • Practical experience supporting UK/EU and APAC tax and statutory compliance requirements, including coordination with local advisors and the ability to evaluate regulatory requirements and their impact on financial reporting and compliance
  • Experience working with ERP systems; specifically NetSuite or Certinia.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across regions and time zones.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and manage competing priorities in a remote environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
  • Fluency in English is required as all work is conducted in English.
