Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Able to guide and assist to identify potential business opportunities from agent’s network and existing portfolio
- Involved in industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Present to and consult with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products for independent distribution partner channels.
- Leveraging on the knowledge/insights of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Drive & work with Life leaders and agents, partners and underwriters to identify new business opportunities & procure new business.
- Be with partners for joint field work with or without the underwriters
- Work with agents & underwriters to achieve targeted new business and retention targets to meet planned numbers
- Work with agents to target profitable market & secure healthy business portfolio & business mix
Sales Management
- Demonstrate sound & strict sales management discipline over your portfolio through a planned & focused business review program/goal setting on segmented partners
- Proficient with sales numbers through daily tracking & measuring of production trends to ensure a robust pipeline of business opportunities and sales targets are met
- Responsible for achieving sales targets in both new business and Renewals for both commercial and consumers line products and portfolio
Recruitment & Activation
- Prospect & convert life agents and turn this into increased business to achieve recruitment targets so to meet production expectations
- Identify and activate life agents to increase productivity – develop new line of business producers & upgrade of agent tier
- Support & execute activities to achieve recruitment target
Incentive & Campaign Management
- Initiate & execute sales activities to create opportunities for new business &/or renewal business through cross-sell, up sell & portfolio analysis
- Pacing agents and financial advisors to achieve their respective agency incentives and business goals such as (higher tier status, bonus, trips..etc)
- Work with Sales campaign manager to conceptualize and support campaign & events through sales activities in order to achieve campaign objectives.

Desired Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in any field
- Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably with knowledge as BD in insurance with proven sales track
- Experience in business development/direct sales and knowledge in non-Life / Life insurance would be an added knowledge
- With relevant industry qualifications – Basic Concept of Insurance, Personal General Insurance and Commercial General Insurance
