Electronics Engineer – Embedded Systems Development

3Shape is looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our product development team.

At 3Shape, our mission is to create innovative products that deliver real value to our users and their patients. Come help us develop and optimize the electronic systems that power our medical 3D scanner products.

Your Role

As part of our engineering team, you will:

• Contribute to the design and development of 3D scanner products and accessories.
• Ensure performance and quality in electronics and embedded software.
• Explore technical solutions and identify the best approaches for our needs.

Your day-to-day role will be in a project team that works together to create new products or improve existing ones. Collaboration between SW, optics, mechanics, electronics, supply chain, and production is key to developing the overall solution.

Attention to detail is essential to maintain quality and avoid unintended consequences.

Your task may include analysis, communication and coordination, design and implementation, verification, and documentation activities. No matter the project team size, you can rely on help from all our 50+ hardware developers. The proximity of the different teams allows colleagues to be familiar with each other creating a friendly work environment. We cooperate closely with lifecycle and NPI teams at our factory in Szczecin, Poland, and our EMS partner in Asia. Expect around five travel days per year.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate is comfortable working at the intersection of electronics and embedded software programming and can work within both areas. Our devices are made of custom electronics or off-the-shelf electronics modules, and with your skills you can design, implement, and optimize the system.

You should be adept at both design and debugging with the relevant SW tools in Linux or Windows or using measurement equipment. Good coordination and documentation skills and a willingness to dig deep to find root causes for technical issues are essential. You can find good compromises and will not hesitate to step outside your role to help when the situation calls for it.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electronics Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Knowledge and skills in most of the following areas:
• SoC and FPGA development
• Embedded Linux and driver development

• Modern Digital Electronics

• Network and Wi-Fi interfaces

Speaking Danish is not required for daily work.
