Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized, self-driven Designer to support packaging, retail, and product-focused design initiatives. This role requires strong production skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings experience coordinating external partners and contributing to evolving design systems, with opportunities to leverage AI-assisted design and advanced production techniques.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage multiple design projects while adapting to shifting priorities and tight deadlines
- Design, update, and production-ready packaging cartons and retail assets using Adobe Illustrator
- Maintain and evolve design guides, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adoption of new requirements
- Coordinate and direct outside retouchers, photography studios, and other creative contractors
- Review and proofread design files with a strong command of written English and attention to detail
- Ensure color consistency and visual quality across product silos, lifestyle imagery, and retail assets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills
- 4–8+ years of professional graphic design experience (consumer products, packaging, or retail preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Bridge
- Extensive hands-on experience with Adobe InDesign for multi-page layouts and production files
- Strong image retouching skills, including the ability to retouch assets personally and direct external retouchers
- Experience or training in AI-assisted design workflows (e.g., photo manipulation, AI-supported instruction manual creation)
- Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in typography, layout, and proofreading

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience using AI tools to create or manipulate realistic photography for commercial use
- Strong visual design sensibility with a refined eye for composition, color, and typography
- Knowledge of packaging production, dielines, print processes, and vendor handoff
- Ability to create high-quality 2D and 3D renderings of products and packaging
Portfolio Requirements
- A portfolio is required and must be submitted with the application (website or PDF)
- Portfolio should demonstrate strong visual design, attention to detail, and typography skills.
- Examples of packaging, retail assets, or product-focused design work are strongly preferred.
- Include samples showing production-ready work (e.g., dielines, print layouts, multi-page documents, or instruction manuals)
- Retouching or photography-related examples are a plus, particularly those showing color consistency across assets
- AI-assisted or experimental work may be included, but must clearly demonstrate thoughtful, intentional design decisions
