Working Pattern: 2 days outdoor delivery | 1 day Activity Hub
Salary: £18,522 for 22.5 hours per week.
Are you a proactive, trauma-informed professional with experience supporting People on Probation? We are seeking a Project Coordinator to deliver and coordinate outdoor group activities and hub-based employability support across the East Midlands, working closely with Probation and community partners to improve progression and reduce reoffending.
This innovative programme will enable participants to gain practical work skills through partnerships with outdoor and environmental organisations, including projects linked to bodies such as the Forestry Commission. Participants will learn new, transferable skills designed to build confidence, improve employability and create pathways into future training and employment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage and enrol People on Probation into outdoor and hub-based activities.
- Promote the service within Probation Offices and coordinate referrals.
- Develop and maintain a regional timetable of outdoor opportunities.
- Support and guide a Project Support Worker with referrals and attendance.
- Deliver structured outdoor group activities that build confidence, wellbeing and work-readiness.
- Apply dynamic risk assessment, safeguarding and Health & Safety procedures.
- Work collaboratively with delivery partners and motivate participant engagement.
- Support participants with CVs, interview skills, digital basics and workplace behaviours.
- Provide practical barrier-removal support and broker onward referrals to training, employment and specialist services.
- Liaise with Probation Practitioners and partners to coordinate attendance and track progress.
- Maintain accurate case notes, outcomes data and Management Information.
We Are Looking For Someone Who Brings:
- Experience supporting People on Probation or similar complex-needs cohorts.
- Strong coordination skills and confidence working with groups outdoors.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, professional boundaries and Health & Safety.
- Understanding of local education, training and employment pathways.
- Excellent interpersonal and motivational skills.
- Full UK driving licence and regional travel flexibility.
- First Aid at Work or outdoor delivery qualifications
- Trauma-informed or PIE experience.
Due to the locations covered you will need to be able to travel across the wider East Midlands Region.
