Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer

We are looking for a Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer to join our team.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst / Programmer to support and enhance enterprise applications within a z/OS mainframe environment. This role requires strong expertise in IDMS, COBOL, and JCL, along with proven experience in systems analysis, application development, and production support. The ideal candidate will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that support mission-critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective system designs and solutions.
• Design, develop, maintain, and support online and batch applications in an IDMS/COBOL/JCL/zOS environment.
• Develop and support Online IDMS programs using tools such as ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, and DME.
• Perform IDMS screen mapping, including symbolic and physical mapping.
• Utilize mainframe tools and technologies including VSAM, SAS, VegaSoft, SPF, TSO/ISPF, and related utilities.
• Provide application production support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Participate in project planning, implementation, and coordination activities.
• Deliver excellent IT customer service and maintain effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Integrated Database Management Systems (IDMS).
• Proficiency in COBOL development (online and batch).
• Extensive experience with Job Control Language (JCL).
• Hands-on experience in a z/OS mainframe environment.
• Solid background in systems analysis, application design, and development.
• Knowledge of VSAM, SAS, VegaSoft, SPF, and TSO/ISPF.
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in a production environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Minimum Education & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of recent programming experience in an IDMS / COBOL / JCL / z/OS mainframe environment.
• Minimum 5 years of recent experience in systems analysis, application development, and project implementation
