As an Asset Manager, you’ll provide data and technical management expertise to support the development and oversight of operational asset maintenance and renewal programmes for all assets within the state highway corridor. You’ll interpret and analyse data, validate field conditions, and manage the traffic counting contract to ensure optimal asset performance, longevity, and value for money. Your work will directly support evidence-based investment and operational decisions that keep New Zealand’s transport network running smoothly.

You are a technically skilled, detail-oriented professional with:
- Experience applying asset management principles and systems to transport infrastructure
- Ability to interpret complex technical datasets and develop practical maintenance programmes
- Understanding of pavement engineering and highway surface data
- Experience in field validation, network inspections, and asset condition assessment
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
