Who You Are

Experienced: 5+ years designing complex, technical interfaces (ideally enterprise-grade) with a portfolio demonstrating systems thinking, usability depth, and real problem-solving.

AI-native: You use AI tools to speed up prototyping, explore concepts, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance your design workflow.

Detail-oriented: You iterate quickly, communicate trade-offs clearly, and maintain precision in interaction design and system structure.

Collaborative: You work effectively with engineers and PMs, balancing user needs with technical constraints in agile environments.

Technically curious: You’re comfortable navigating technical topics, understanding workflows end-to-end, and may have dabbled in code.

That'S The Job

Design AI-enhanced experiences: Create UX patterns that integrate AI into our visual workflow editor (e.g., predictive node suggestions, prompt-driven interactions, and assistive features).

Shape KNIME’s editing experience: Improve workflows, data apps, tools, and components with a focus on clarity, efficiency, and scalability.

Prototype & test: Translate user needs and technical constraints into concepts, prototype quickly, and refine based on real-world feedback.

Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering and product to ensure solutions are feasible, intuitive, and aligned with KNIME’s product vision.
