Position Summary:
The Senior Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing corporate and partnership tax compliance, preparing tax provisions, and supporting REIT-related analysis. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across a highly engaged tax team that includes Income Tax, Sales & Use, and Property Tax professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tax Compliance & Reporting
◦ Prepare corporate and partnership taxable income projections
◦ Coordinate the preparation of Federal and State tax filings with third-party tax providers
◦ Review third-party prepared tax returns to ensure timely compliance with Federal, State, and Local tax laws
• Tax Provision & Analysis
◦ Prepare and analyze quarterly U.S. income tax provisions under ASC 740
◦ Prepare and review deferred tax calculations, effective tax rate analysis, return-to-provision reconciliations, and valuation allowances
• REIT Compliance
◦ Conduct quarterly and annual REIT analysis, including Assets Tests, Income Tests, Distribution Tests, and related checklists
• Audit & Regulatory Support
◦ Respond to tax authority audits, inquiries, and notices
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required)
• CPA designation or active CPA candidacy (preferred)
• Strong proficiency in Excel and general computer applications
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
• 4+ years of experience in corporate tax, tax provisions, or REIT compliance
• Familiarity with ASC 740 and deferred tax calculations
COMPENSATION: $85,000 - $95,000 + 10% annual bonus opportunity
