We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of Base Oils (BO) and Additives across the ASPAC region. This role involves strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and driving value through effective negotiation and category management.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for Base Oils and Additives within the ASPAC region, aligning with global procurement objectives.
 - Conduct in-depth category spend profiling and market intelligence to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks.
 - Lead complex negotiations with suppliers, applying strong negotiation planning and preparation to achieve optimal terms and conditions.
 - Lead and nurture robust supplier relationships, ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
 - Translate business requirements into actionable procurement strategies and sourcing initiatives.
 - Use Agility core practices and Agility tools to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency.
 - Drive digital fluency within procurement operations, demonstrating technology to improve data analysis and decision-making.
 - Collaborate with internal partners to understand their needs and ensure procurement activities support business goals.
 - Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon indicators and implement corrective actions as necessary.
 - Stay abreast of industry trends, product and market intelligence, and regulatory changes impacting the Base Oil and Additives markets.
 
Job Qualifications
- Shown experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, specifically within Base Oils and Additives or a similar chemical/petrochemical sector.
 - Demonstrated proficiency in Agility core practices and Agility tools.
 - Outstanding Analytical Thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
 - Strong experience in Business Requirements Analysis.
 - Expertise in Category spend profiling and Category Strategy development.
 - Excellent Negotiating and Negotiation planning and preparation skills.
 - High level of Digital Fluency, comfortable with various procurement and analytical software.
 - Solid understanding of Product and market intelligence within the relevant categories.
 - Proven track record in successful Supplier Relationship Management.
 - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international environment.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
