Compliance Auditor
Location: North Wales & Cheshire, Wirral & Mersey
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Avove is excited to announce a major expansion of our operations with Scottish Power Energy Networks. The contract has now doubled in size to approximately £10 million per annum and is secured for a full six-year period. This enables us to launch a significant recruitment drive focused on long-term planning, investment in people, and cutting-edge equipment.
We are looking for Vegetation Compliance Auditors to carry out post-cut inspections on SP Energy Networks’ overhead lines. You’ll audit completed vegetation clearance works to ensure compliance with SPEN specifications, safety standards, and industry regulations.
What will your day look like…
• Auditing post-cut vegetation works across the SPEN overhead network from our in house vegetation management APP.
• Checking that clearances meet SPEN standards, safety requirements, and industry regula-tions
• Recording findings with accurate reports, mapping, and photographic evidence
• Identifying incomplete or non-compliant works and raising corrective actions
• Liaising with cutting teams and supervisors to ensure issues are resolved
• Supporting continuous improvement by highlighting recurring issues or trends
About you…
• Experience in utility arboriculture or vegetation management around overhead lines
• Strong understanding of vegetation clearance standards and safety requirements
• Confident in reporting, digital data capture, and photographic evidence gathering
• Able to communicate findings clearly to contractors and internal teams
• Full UK Driving License is required for this role.
