Carpenter

Essential Job Duties:

1. Constructs partitions to buildings, installs doors, windows, cabinets, ceilings, hangs drywall, etc.
2. Repairs cabinets, doors, windows, floors, ceilings, etc.
3. Fabricates special items of wood, such as counters, cabinets etc.
4. Operates woodworking power tools.
5. Must be capable of working around patients, visitors and hospital employees.
6. Required to adhere to all policies and procedures along with maintaining MSDS book .
7. Required to clean up any mess incurred while performing a job and clean shop on a rotating basis
8. Knowledge of life safety and fire stop application and blue print reading.

Secondary Job Duties That May be Reassigned:

1. Recycles all recyclable material when possible.
2. Helps set up at hospital events (after hours and some week-ends )
3. Performs any other job assigned.
4. Valid Driver’s License.
5. Use of a computer.
6. Help with snow and ice removal.

Job Specifications:

• Education: High School Graduate Prefer A.S. Degree in Building Trades.
• Experience: 1-2 years
