We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Security who is passionate about driving our customers’ security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Platforms to support the Canadian business. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.
As a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), you will enable customers to achieve their outcomes, based on their investments in Microsoft technology. Leveraging your Security, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Azure technical subject matter expertise you will lead technical conversations with customers to drive value from their MS investments, including identifying resolutions to issues blocking customer success projects. Responsibilities
- You will drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor as well as provide feedback and insights from customers/partners and be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
- You will land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management and Cloud Security.
- You will position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage as you develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments and identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise. Deliver according to MS best practices & using repeatable IP.
- You will accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring that the solution exhibits “Secure by Design” framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
- You will align your individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goals as you accelerate customer outcomes and share your expertise, contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) creation & re-use to accelerate customer outcomes.
- You will run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing the solution – governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
- You will collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- Technical experience and knowledge, with depth / Subject Matter Expertise in at least one:
- Sentinel, all Defender Workloads and Data Security strategies and solutions
- Identity and Access Management
- Zero Trust strategies including, Zero trust Foundations, Defend Against Threats, Protect and Govern Sensitive Data
- Additional asset is active Canadian Government Secret Clearance or the ability to secure Secret Clearance with the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) of Public Services and Procurement Canada.

- Identity and Access Management
- Zero Trust strategies including, Zero trust Foundations, Defend Against Threats, Protect and Govern Sensitive Data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, with depth / Subject Matter Expertise in:
- Sentinel, all Defender Workloads and Data Security strategies and solutions
- Identity and Access Management
- Zero Trust strategies including, Zero trust Foundations, Defend Against Threats, Protect and Govern Sensitive Data
- Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of Cloud Security in order to identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems, process improvement, organizational change, or strategic planning and policy development.
- Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or highly strategic accounts. Experience in managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects.
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences (Senior Executives, Messaging/collaboration/Network/Security administrators, and solution architecture teams).
- Understanding of how Microsoft Security, compliance, and identity solutions can span across solution areas to provide a holistic and end-to-end solution.
- Ability to understand customer’s Security related business requirements and customer problems and solve them through Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Competitive Landscape knowledge of Security platforms. Technical aptitude and experience to learn new cloud technologies and understand relevant cloud market trends.
- Additional asset is active Canadian Government Secret Clearance or the ability to secure Secret Clearance with the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) of Public Services and Procurement Canada.
Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $96,000 - CAD $177,600 per year.
