WMUR-TV, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The Executive Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations and strategic initiatives of the General Manager. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high level of confidentiality. The Executive Assistant will be a key member of the WMUR-TV team, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the General Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, and report preparation.
  • Manage the General Manager's calendar, prioritizing meetings and appointments, and ensuring efficient time management.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodation, and ground transportation, and prepare necessary travel documents.
  • Maintain accurate records and files, ensuring easy access and retrieval of important information.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and proposals, ensuring accuracy and adherence to branding guidelines.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, clients, and vendors, to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Support the General Manager in special projects and initiatives, providing research, data analysis, and project management assistance. 
  • Assisting with employee engagement opportunities and some public service initiatives. 
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude, representing WMUR-TV with integrity and upholding its reputation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar administrative role.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft professional correspondence and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
