Litigation Paralegal

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our fast-growing team. This position plays a critical role in supporting our attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation, particularly in homeowners’ insurance defense cases across Virginia and Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and adept at managing multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling civil defense matters for homeowners’ insurance clients.
• Assist in preparing for trials, hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Conduct legal research and cite checking to support case strategy and filings.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and related court documents.
• Manage case files and ensure all documentation is accurately maintained and easily accessible.
• Coordinate scheduling for court appearances, depositions, and attorney-client meetings.
• Communicate with clients, experts, and court personnel to gather information and provide timely case updates.
• Monitor case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and filing requirements in Virginia and D.C. courts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate from an accredited institution preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably in civil defense or insurance litigation.
• Experience with Virginia state courts is strongly preferred; familiarity with D.C. courts is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
• Proven track record of professional stability and reliability.
• Candidates residing near Fairfax, VA are strongly preferred.
