Job Summary:
In this role, you will ensure agile teams execute exciting, mission-critical software products across project teams, and help us take our processes to the next level. You will play a key role working with IT leadership and all aspects of teams to ensure the success of high-profile and mission-critical projects. You will provide work direction to multiple project teams and act with discretion and authority as a servant leader, finding the best balance between delivering multiple products with an indefinitely sustainable pace.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Product Owners and technology leads to advance Agile methodology adoption (As set by the Agile Delivery Lead) for multiple software development products in the Little Caesars Enterprise Technology portfolio.
- Along with developing iterative plans, work with product management to coordinate feature delivery; implementing products to specification in a timely manner in collaboration with the Agile Delivery Lead.
- Lead Feature Planning sessions in collaboration with Agile Delivery Lead, Architects, Product Owners, and development team members.
- With oversight of the Agile Delivery lead, kick new teams off by setting up working agreements, definitions of ready and done, roles and responsibilities,
- and general day to day agile processes.
- Create a calendar of sprints and releases via “Scrum of Scrums” in collaboration with Product Management. Communicate this schedule to stakeholders.
- Facilitate daily scrum meetings with the entire product team, participating in sprint demos, product backlog and sprint backlog refinement sessions,
- sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Facilitate the team’s progress towards sprint goals by resolving or escalating conflicts, issues and roadblocks.
- Track and manage project status through traditional agile tools such as the burndown chart, velocity metrics, and sprint goals.
- Act as a mediator between product owner and development team to determine stable release points for product increments.
- Construct and lead team adoptions of Wiki's for Agile and technical best practices with continual upkeep.
- Oversees 3 or more product teams which may or may not have product overlap.
- Responsible for project level Dev Ops administration, including adding users to teams and upkeep of team dashboards.
- Onboarding for new team members regarding Agile process, Dev Ops, and respective team working agreements.
- Help to balance tech debt reduction with feature delivery.
- Provide work guidance and coach team members, fostering a collaborative culture and resolve conflict involving prioritization, design or preference.
- Drive a continuous improvement culture within the team and business.
- With the teams collaboration, audit user stories for clarity and acceptable level of detail.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of experience in Software Program Management using Agile techniques and iterative development.
- First level Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I).
- Demonstrable prior success as a Scrum Master using formal Agile techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple scrum teams simultaneously.
- Ability to understand technical issues, and methods to reduce tech debt.
- Experience working in Project Management tools such as Azure Dev Ops, JIRA or GitLab.
- In addition to scrum, have the ability to run with teams that utilize frameworks such as Kanban, Scrumban, and Feature Driven Development.
- Demonstrable ability for conflict resolution, fixing communication gaps, give and take accommodation.
- Proven ability to bring people together to collaborate on diverse and complex software challenges.
- Strong analysis skills breaking features apart when needed, giving measurable value to customers early and often.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues, both technical and non-technical.
- Strong working knowledge of burndown/up metrics and velocity.
- Highly proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to drive results in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal and team issues
- Previous success working with distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Demonstrated flexibility, ability to deal with ambiguity and willingness to learn new skills.
- Have a strong understanding of what makes a good user story, technical story, and bug.
