If Insurance.com

Office

Alta, Norway

Full Time

If is the largest P&C insurance company in the Nordic region, a digital forerunner among insurers, currently on a quest to become the most customer-oriented player in the industry.

BA Private has over 3,5 million customers and a GWP of more than 37 billion SEK. Our over 2 600 employees help us to daily live up to our customer promise of being ‘by your side’ and delivering excellent insurance products, claims- and customer service. We are now looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Business Performance Analytics-unit

About The Role

You will play a key role in modernizing the management reporting and forecasting toolkit within BA Private. This will include hands on development of critical data assets, systems, reports, and tools that drive excellence in our reporting, planning, and business follow-up processes.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Actively building and maintaining the technical setup of a new plan & forecasting tool in BA Private — including requirements gathering, development of data models, forecasting templates, and dashboards.
  • Steering and actively contributing to the development of various data solutions — including Private’s reporting datasets.
  • Providing support to the Control & Actuary unit and other business users in the effective use of reporting tools and data assets.
  • Assisting the Business Performance Analytics-unit with developing dashboards, conducting data analyses, and delivering insights on business operations to Private and BU management.

About The Team

The Business Performance Analytics-unit has the responsibility of supporting both the Control & Actuary unit as well as Private at large in aspects related to Nordic reporting, data, and analytics. The unit’s mission is to elevate Nordic reporting, planning and business-follow-up capacity through collaborative efforts with other business units, thereby enhancing overall business steering capabilities for management.

What We Offer

Just as we have high expectations of you as an employee, we also strive to meet your expectations as an employer. At If, you will enjoy:

  • An inclusive work environment where everyone is welcome.
  • Career growth and development opportunities within the largest insurance company in the Nordics.
  • A professional community with social activities.
  • Flexibility with a hybrid work model.
  • A health-focused workplace, including wellness allowance and various sports activities.
  • Excellent Insurance Benefits.

Who Are You?

You bring experience in Business Intelligence (BI), data development, and data modeling. While deep ERP expertise is not required, you are motivated and capable of taking a central, hands-on role in the technical implementation of our new plan & forecasting tool. This includes shaping data models, forecasting templates, and dashboards that will form the backbone of BA Private’s reporting and planning setup. You enjoy collaborating with various business units to understand their needs and gather requirements that you can translate into effective reporting and forecasting solutions.

You combine technical skills with a strong business mindset — turning complex data into clear and actionable insights. You take ownership and deliver high-quality, reliable results, while continuously looking for ways to improve tools and processes.

You Have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with specialists and stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset — you are self-driven, take initiative, and challenge yourself and others to grow.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization, turning numbers into meaningful insights.
  • Technical expertise, including coding skills in languages such as SQL or Python, and proficiency with BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
