As an Inside Sales Representative for Mexico, you will be responsible for generating revenue and driving growth for Bison by identifying, developing, and maintaining customer relationships across the Mexico region. This role focuses on inside sales activities including lead generation, pricing analysis, quoting, and customer follow-up to secure profitable business aligned with Bison’s strategic growth objectives. The position collaborates closely with Sales, Pricing, and Operations to support both customer retention and new business development within Mexico and cross-border markets.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Sales Growth & Lead Generation: Develop and execute strategies to grow new and existing customer accounts. Identify and qualify leads using CRM tools, digital platforms, and industry resources. Maintain a structured prospect database and follow up on inbound and outbound opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management: Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and service concerns. Build strong relationships through consistent communication and collaboration with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Market & Trend Monitoring: Track weekly shipment trends, customer volumes, and service levels. Flag potential issues and partner with Operations to ensure alignment between customer expectations and execution.
- Pricing & Negotiation: Prepare accurate quotes and proposals using market data and pricing tools. Negotiate terms that meet customer needs and align with business goals. Follow up on bids to secure awarded freight.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Record activities in CRM and generate regular sales performance reports. Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and Pricing teams to ensure smooth execution and support cross-functional initiatives.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and pricing shifts to identify new opportunities and support strategic sales efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Prior experience in inside sales, account management, within the transportation and logistics industry.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Experience with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of cross-border logistics between Mexico, the U.S., and Canada is an asset.
- Bilingual: Spanish and English required.
- Well organized, excellent communicator, and have a keen sense of timeliness.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrate customer service experience.
- Experience in transportation is preferred.
