This role is responsible for providing comprehensive legal support to the company, focusing on four core areas:

Contracts & Commercial:
- Draft, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial contracts with customers, agents, and suppliers.
- Provide legal advice on tender processes and identify associated legal risks.
- Manage the company's contracts database, policies, and notarial services.

Legal Advisory & Compliance:
- Provide legal opinions and practical guidelines to ensure company activities comply with local laws, regulations, and authorized standardization bodies.
- Offer comprehensive legal support to internal stakeholders.
Case & Dispute Management:
- Handle and monitor legal cases, representing the company in judicial and administrative hearings.
- Manage contractual disputes, aiming for the best commercial outcome, including the oversight of external legal counsel.
Ethics & Governance:
- Act as the entity's Ethics Officer, promoting high compliance standards.
- Lead the coordination and communication between the company and regulatory authorities.
- Ensure corporate compliance and governance, managing board meetings, and drafting/reviewing resolutions.
- Act as the Company's Corporate Secretary.
- Develop and conduct legal and compliance training for employees.
- Define and manage the Internal Rules and Regulations (IRC) Program to ensure compliance with government regulations and company policies, including establishing a yearly Legal Site Audit plan.

Required Qualifications And Competencies あなたは適切な人ですか。
- Legal Knowledge of Japanese law and legal system is essential (legal qualification in other major common law / civil law jurisdictions are considered in case a candidate has sufficient legal knowledge of Japanese law); Japanese Bar qualification is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of post-admission working experience in a corporate legal department or a reputable law firm (non-Bengoshi).
- Demonstrated in-depth experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex commercial contracts handling Japanese civil law, Japanese commercial law, compliance, overall legal advisory
- Preferred Background: Experience working in a Multinational Corporation (MNC) environment.
- Business proficient in English
- Minimum of 10 years of post-admission working experience in a corporate legal department or a reputable law firm (non-Bengoshi).
- Demonstrated in-depth experience in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex commercial contracts handling Japanese civil law, Japanese commercial law, compliance, overall legal advisory
