Operations Coordinator Fishing & Re-Entry

Job Purpose:

Weatherford International, a leading global provider of oil and gas services, is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator for our Fishing & Re-Entry division based in Ortona, Italy. This position plays a crucial role in supporting our operational excellence in the Mediterranean region while ensuring the efficient delivery of our specialized downhole fishing and re-entry services.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate fishing and re-entry operations across assigned projects in Italy and potentially other Mediterranean locations
• Manage the logistics of equipment mobilization and demobilization to offshore and onshore locations
• Prepare detailed operational plans and schedules in collaboration with technical teams
• Liaise between field personnel, management, and clients to ensure smooth operations
• Monitor inventory levels of fishing tools and equipment, coordinating maintenance and repairs
• Ensure compliance with Weatherford's HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies and procedures
• Prepare and maintain accurate operational documentation and reports
• Assist in cost control and budget management for assigned projects
• Participate in pre-job planning meetings and post-job reviews
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Fishing & Re-Entry division

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related technical field preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in oil and gas operations, preferably with exposure to fishing operations
• Knowledge of downhole fishing tools, techniques, and re-entry operations
• Strong understanding of well intervention procedures and equipment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Italian and English (both written and verbal)
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite and oil field service software
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel occasionally to offshore locations
• IWCF/IADC Well Control certification is a plus
• Experience with HSE management systems in the oil and gas industry
