About The Role:
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be heavily involved in the creation and enhancement of new and existing systems and applications, collaborating with architects and stakeholders to design, architect, and deploy scalable, reliable and secure technology platforms on Microsoft Azure and GCP.
You will be a key driver in developing and maintaining our infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions & centralised modules using Terraform, automating the provisioning and management of platform resources. This includes ensuring the consistent deployment and configuration of PaaS-based resources (like serverless functions, databases, and containers) in line with our standards using IaC modules and Azure Policy.
Your responsibilities will extend to implementing monitoring and alerting to proactively resolve issues, ensuring all infrastructure adheres to security best practices, and managing platform stability and availability.
You will act as a crucial point of escalation, mentor junior team members and take a lead role in coordinating the resolution of major issues. You will also participate in incident response, disaster recovery efforts, and work closely with other technology teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment with our overall IT infrastructure.
About You:
You are an experienced and proactive engineer with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure & networking architecture, automation, and security. You are confident in scoping, designing, and planning large, complex projects, translating business requirements into robust and pragmatic technical solutions. You excel at managing stakeholder expectations and communicating clearly with senior management.
- As a senior figure, you are a natural mentor, capable of coaching junior team members, developing standards and acting as a subject matter expert.
