IntroductionWe’re looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Manager to drive Trip.com’s presence across Russian-speaking markets. In this role, you’ll shape engaging content strategies, manage social media channels, and collaborate with local creators to inspire travelers and strengthen our brand. In this Role, you’ll get to:
- Manage the daily operations and content strategy for social media accounts targeting the Russian market (e.g., VKontakte, Instagram, and other local platforms).
- Develop annual, quarterly, and monthly social media content plans for the Russian market, including themes, topics, creative direction, publishing schedules, and advertising strategies.
- Create high-quality, original Russian-language content (posts, visuals, short videos, Reels/Stories, and community posts) aligned with local travel habits and culture.
- Manage social advertising campaigns and budgets, optimizing targeting, audience segmentation, creatives, and media mix to improve CTR and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with KOLs/influencers, Russian travel bloggers, and UGC creators to build brand awareness and reputation in the Russian travel and social community.
- Track and analyze key social media KPIs (reach, engagement, clicks, booking conversions, user growth, etc.), prepare regular reports, and refine strategies based on insights.
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, Customer Service, and Localization teams to ensure a seamless experience for Russian users, from social engagement to booking.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the Russian travel and OTA industry, monitor competitors’ social activities, and propose innovative marketing initiatives.
- Stay informed on trends in Russian digital ecosystems, user behavior, and local regulations (e.g., data protection, advertising standards) to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Fluency in Russian and strong English communication skills; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Tourism, or a related field.
- 3+ years of social media management experience in Russia or Eastern Europe, ideally 1+ year in the travel, OTA, or outbound tourism industry.
- Familiarity with major Russian social platforms (VK, Instagram, Telegram, etc.), their ad systems, and user behavior trends.
- Strong content creation skills in Russian (copywriting, video scripting, community management); experience working with influencers preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in social media analytics tools, Google Analytics, and ad dashboards.
- Strong project management skills; able to execute campaigns independently and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Solid understanding of the travel/OTA industry, including online booking behavior and customer conversion funnels.
- Creative mindset with a strong grasp of Russian social media trends and culture.
- Familiarity with Russian consumer behavior, travel patterns, payment preferences, and relevant laws/regulations is an advantage.
- Experience managing Russian-language YouTube or short video channels.
- Proven track record of driving traffic and conversions from social media to apps or websites.
- Understanding of the Russian UGC (user-generated content) ecosystem and community engagement.
- Hands-on experience managing ad budgets, optimizing creatives, and improving ROI.
