The company is a liquidity and technology provider of solutions for the crypto and foreign exchange (FX) industry. The company specializes in the sphere of B2B services and products, catering to a wide range of clients, including large licensed brokers, crypto exchanges, crypto brokers, forex brokers, hedge and crypto funds, and professional managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily accounting and bookkeeping, including the preparation of financial statements, general ledger maintenance, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Follow regulatory and tax reporting calendar and ensure timely regulatory and tax reporting submission (Mauritius entity).
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and ensure necessary regulatory requirements are met (Mauritius entity).
- Prepare corporate income tax computation for the Mauritius entity, submit it to the tax authorities on timely basis.
- Coordinate work of the management company, provide them with all the primary documents and other data to complete accounts monthly, ensure their compliance with local regulations and reporting standards.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities during audits and examinations.
- Support the centralised finance team in managing treasury functions, including cash management and foreign exchange operations.
- Assist other departments and management with ad hoc management reports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven track record (3+ years) in an accounting role within financial services, brokerage, or digital trading.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, Mauritius general accepted regulatory requirements, and international financial governance standards.
- ERP/financial systems skills; excellent Excel (incl. Power Pivot/Power Query).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferably
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
- Advanced financial modelling, data analysis skills.
