Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, grow, and monitor Business’ liabilities and assets portfolio within the assigned segments (NGOs, UN Agencies, Foreign Missions and Energy Sector) with the ultimate objective of ensuring the Bank remains profitable, competitive, and promptly reacts to the changes in both the internal and external environment.
  2. Drive profitable revenue and volume growth with a focus on new acquisition, retention of existing customers as well as deepening of existing customer relationships, stakeholder management and cross sell thereby improving market and customer share of wallet with the Bank.
  3. Provide leadership in the overall growth and profitability of assigned segments (NGOs, UN Agencies, Foreign Missions and Energy Sector). This will include ensuring that the Bank’s objectives relating to Business Development and the Bank in general are exceeded. 
  4. Overall management and supervision of the assigned segments to ensure superior customer service offering to all customers, reduction of operating costs by ensuring efficient utilization of Bank’s resources and reduction of frauds and losses through adherence to policies and procedures. 
  5. Monitor and manage customer requirements, constantly review service delivery standards and optimal utilization of resources to ensure consistent delivery of high-level customer service at all touch points in a timely and cost-efficient manner which ensures high level of customer satisfaction and new-product launches.
  6. Built and manage relationships with key clients within the assigned segments (NGOs, UN Agencies, Foreign Missions and Energy Sector) as well as ensuring issues raised are timely closed. 
  7. Ensure timely submission of quality business proposals in conformity with the Bank Policy guidelines and requirements.
  8. Leverage on customer research and competitor benchmarking on customer service and customer loyalty/advocacy metrics including NPS scores and drive initiatives to improve them.
  9. Collaborate with various departments operations, and functional teams to improve customer service delivery through turnaround times, service level agreements and process improvements with a view of ensuring achievement of Corporate and Departmental objectives.
  10. Maintain a detailed and current understanding of the industry; (Corporate Banking, current market structures; regulatory requirements and issues) to ensure that those opportunities are realized, and the risks mitigated.

Requirements

  • Degree preferably in a Business-related field.  Master’s degree in a relevant field is added advantage. 
  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience with at least 5 years' experience in senior management positions, Corporate Banking experience, Relationship Management, NGOs and Un Agencies Relationships, Credit experience and General Banking experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of Business fundamentals and the financial services industry.
  • Knowledge of bank-wide business functions/ processes as well as banking products and services
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated competence in driving performance
  • Business acumen including awareness of current business trends, risks, challenges, and opportunities
