As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the CIB Payments technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain payment applications using COBOL/CICS on mainframe systems.
  • Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing and job automation/job scheduling by CA7
  • Integrate and support messaging solutions using IBM MQ.
  • Manage and SQL query databases using DB2 and Adabas.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust payment solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in payment processing workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience in mainframe COBOL, CICS programming.
  • Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) , CA7 job scheduler 
  • Hands-on experience with IBM MQ for messaging and related programming skill
  • Proficiency in DB2 SQL and Adabas database
  • Experience in payment systems or financial transaction processing or SWIFT ISO standard is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Java programming, build tools - Maven, git is advantage. 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 7 years related working experience
  • Experience in large-scale financial environments.
