As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the CIB Payments technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain payment applications using COBOL/CICS on mainframe systems.
- Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing and job automation/job scheduling by CA7
- Integrate and support messaging solutions using IBM MQ.
- Manage and SQL query databases using DB2 and Adabas.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust payment solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in payment processing workflows.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proven experience in mainframe COBOL, CICS programming.
- Strong knowledge of JCL (Job Control Language) , CA7 job scheduler
- Hands-on experience with IBM MQ for messaging and related programming skill
- Proficiency in DB2 SQL and Adabas database
- Experience in payment systems or financial transaction processing or SWIFT ISO standard is highly desirable.
- Experience in Java programming, build tools - Maven, git is advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 7 years related working experience
- Experience in large-scale financial environments.
