Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience. This role will be a key member of the Finance team, one of the most crucial departments in ensuring the success of any business organization. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and be responsible for day-to-day operations, as well as various other responsibilities, including supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, as well as external audits and tax-related activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, flexible with working across time zones (including collaboration with our India team), and eager to learn and grow with the company. Experience in mergers and acquisitions, tax, and compliance is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly reporting packages, bank reconciliation for each of the bank accounts, and Cash management and weekly balance reports.
  • Perform and review journal entries, Accounts reconciliations, and financial reporting during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • In charge of year-end audits, preparing schedules, and providing documentation to external auditors. Provide PBC items to auditors, assist in answering any questions, and prepare financial statements.
  • Work with external tax advisors to support provision, compliance, nexus study, and other tax-related projects.
  • Collaborate across teams, including international operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of accounting records.
  • Support process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting and reporting.
  • Support the Annual Operating Plan and budgeting process by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and variance analyses. Be an active contributor to this role.
  • Assist with merger & acquisition accounting and integration activities (as needed).
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and tax regulations.

Requirements

  • CPA preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (public accounting or corporation).
  • Strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Experience with financial closeness, audits, and compliance is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with external tax teams/advisors.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite is a plus or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to explain accounting concepts clearly.
  • Collaboration and teamwork, including working effectively with international teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to support changing business needs.
  • High attention to detail with commitment to accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in identifying improvements and solutions.
