The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager to join our Environmental Services team based in Brooklyn, VIC. You will work alongside the Regional Manager to develop solutions for your clients. You will be responsible for managing business development activity for our Liquid and Hazardous Waste services, setting the strategy on chosen target markets in project-based activity, defining our points of difference and achieving new business growth targets by securing major contracts for Veolia.

What You'Ll Be Responsible For
- Develop a comprehensive sales pipeline for Liquid and Hazardous Waste prospects, covering a range of industry verticals and sales strategies
- Providing feedback and market insight in an effort to ensure targeted market and growth within the defined segment, whilst creating a strategic plan framework with a focus on achieving our goals and objectives
- Carefully manage a project-based portfolio of business
- Engage with key stakeholders within the business in the establishment and development of growth objectives for the defined territory
- Deliver profitable revenue and volume growth, improving the market position for Veolia through securing work as a result of developing and fostering business networks and relationships
- Cold calling and prospect new business throughout the state
What You'Ll Need To Be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent workplace experience
- Demonstrated success in a business development position, developing new customer offerings and attracting new customers
- Solid commercial acumen and experience in negotiating on terms and conditions in service contracts
- Excellent project tracking and management skills
- Waste industry experience desired but not essential
- Excellent computer skills and ability to learn and utilise online tools
- High level attention to detail and capacity for careful administration
- High level interpersonal skills, including ability to clarify, put forward suggested resolutions, mediate conflict and time manage
