We are seeking a highly motivated System Engineer to join our Sensor Technology Group, a dynamic team driving innovation in advanced sensor solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of mechanical, electrical, chemical, and materials engineering, contributing to the development of next-generation sensor systems that enable precision, reliability, and performance in semiconductor fabrication.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the design, integration, and validation of sensor systems within semiconductor equipment platforms.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and process engineering teams to define system requirements and architecture.
- Develop and execute test plans to evaluate sensor performance under various operating conditions.
- Analyze data to identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and optimize sensor functionality.
- Drive continuous improvement in sensor system reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Support technology transfer from R&D to production, including documentation and training.
- Stay current with emerging sensor technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in system engineering, preferably in semiconductor equipment or high-tech industries.
- Experience with system integration, data acquisition, and signal processing.
- Experience in tools such as JMP, Python, or similar for data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant work experience in semiconductor equipment or a similar industry.
- knowledge of semi-conductor vacuum system, automatic wafer transfer (mechatronic: robotics, servo control, sensor and actuators) and integration into complex wafer processing system.
- Understanding of sensor technologies (e.g., thermal, optical, chemical, pressure, flow).
- Semiconductor related metrology knowledge (instrumentation to qualify & measure thickness, particles, electrical resistivity, etc.)
- Experience transitioning third party tools and service to in-house is particularly interesting
