About The Role:
Entera is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. This position provides essential support for our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who takes initiatives, thinks outside the box and grows in an unconventional environment, and provides support to the team in a high transaction volume and rapid growth environment.
What You’Ll Do:
- Handle key aspects of the accounts receivable and revenue process, including but not limited to invoicing, collection procedures, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Assist with the monthly financial month end close process, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support the preparation of standard financial statements and other financial reports and analyses.
- Perform audits of internal systems to ensure all residential real estate transaction information is input accurately and completely at all times.
- Support the management team in establishing and refining financial processes to empower deep dive analytics across the organization.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all internal financial policies and procedures.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
You Should Have:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, required.
- Knowledge in accrual basis accounting principles (e.g., structure of financial statements, journal entries, debits/credits).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using QuickBooks or similar general ledger software.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a proven ability to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Strong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A high level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Prior experience in real estate accounting is preferred.
