The Role:

As an Account Manager within Paymode, you’ll be responsible for enriching the customer experience and driving account expansion through proactive, consultative engagement across your portfolio. You’ll guide clients to their desired outcomes, showcase the value of our strategic partnership, and serve as the primary point of contact for ongoing reviews and issue resolution.

You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure Paymode teams are aligned to support client success, and work closely with Sales to identify and pursue expansion opportunities by recommending additional products, solutions, and services.

How You'Ll Contribute:

Client Success & Growth

  • Build trusted relationships with Paymode clients to drive revenue growth and long-term success.
  • Lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews to assess value realization, identify opportunities, and resolve challenges.
  • Align client goals with Bottomline’s offerings through strategic success planning.
  • Use data to monitor client health, drive adoption, and increase vendor enrollment and transaction volume.
  • Engage with C-level stakeholders to deepen relationships and support account expansion.
  • Partner with Sales to uncover and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Share product roadmap updates and translate innovations into business value.
  • Promote best practices through content, webinars, and thought leadership.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate churn risks.

Product & Client Expertise

  • Develop deep knowledge of Paymode solutions, client use cases, and product features.
  • Understand and optimize the vendor enrollment process to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Stay informed about client industries, challenges, and strategic priorities.

Internal Collaboration & Advocacy

  • Advocate for client needs across Paymode teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, Implementation, Support, and Leadership.
  • Communicate client feedback to influence product direction and facilitate beta program participation.
  • Partner with Marketing to share client success stories and develop targeted content.
  • Provide regular updates on client health and engagement, including weekly insights to the CEO.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in Salesforce and other business systems.

If you have the attributes, skills, and experience listed below, we want to hear from you:

  • 8+ years in client-facing roles (Sales, Success, Account Management, or Professional Services) within enterprise SaaS
  • Proven success in driving expansion and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
  • Experience building and executing strategic success plans tied to client KPIs.
  • Strong CRM discipline and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and results-driven.
  • Experience in payments, FinTech or Financial Services preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
