Web Developer

Role Overview

The Web Developer will work directly with our North American marketing team. This role will be responsible for the strategy and implementation of MRI’s website, using tactics to drive web visits, conversions, and pipeline for the business. This role will use a data-driven approach, continually testing and evaluating the success of our digital footprint, and collaborating closely across marketing, sales and SDR teams for a fully integrated approach.

We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Johannesburg or Cape Town office. 

• The role will align with the UK working hours.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Build, update, and deploy marketing web pages, landing pages, campaign microsites, and other digital assets (front-end work)
• Work closely with marketing stakeholders to collect requirements, review designs or wireframes, and translate them into technical deliverables
• Ensure web assets are optimised for performance, responsive across devices, and meet accessibility standards
• Maintain and update content via our CMS; troubleshoot minor bugs or issues as they arise
• Assist with integrating tracking/analytics and third‑party tools (forms, APIs, etc.) as needed for campaign measurement
• Support localisation or regional customisation efforts when required
• Manage multiple tasks/projects, balance priority requests from different teams, and meet deadlines without compromising quality
• Keep up with web development best practices, new tools, trends, and share ideas to improve our processes
• Optimise web pages and sections of the website for SEO and GEO
• Track and report monthly web analytics, identifying areas of opportunity and proposed go-forward actions.

Required Skills/Abilities

• 2+ years of web development experience
• Working knowledge of WordPress CMS and Salesforce Pardot (or similar CRM system)
• Mastery of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Working knowledge of responsive design
• Proficiency in browser development tools for debugging
• Strong understanding of the web-development lifecycle
• Highly organised and able to take direction in a collaborative, multicultural environment
• Comfortable working across a global, matrixed organisation
• Strong time and project management skills
• Detail-oriented and eager to learn advanced development practices
