We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the DevOps team on a very large transformation. We are transforming our current core policy systems to the standard policy platform – Guidewire. You will be a key player in the design and implementation of the future DevOps team of the area.

We need a person who wants to perform in the daily tasks of the team, and at the same time master to think holistically and long-term in optimizing and automating the DevOps processes.

About The Role

You will join the current DevOps team alongside 3 other Topdanmark colleagues and 3 external consultants. The team has the following responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of CI/CD of program applications. We create Jenkins pipelines to support CI/CD which includes automated deployments to environments. We mainly work with the following type of applications:
  • AWS Java and Node.js applications – AWS CloudFormation (IaC)
  • Docker-based Java and React applications hosted on Kubernetes Clusters
  • Guidewire applications
  • Operations – maintenance of environments and deployments
  • Troubleshooting errors that occur on environments, it includes integration errors (WSO2, Ceptor).
  • Support deployments of applications to test environments. Handling production deployments.
  • Creating new environments of NytLand applications.
  • Maintenance and development of infrastructure applications, such as Proxies (AWS, Node.js).

To sum up, the tools, technologies, and programming languages that we are using are: Jenkins, Kibana, WSO2, Docker, Groovy, Java, Bash, CloudFormation (AWS), JavaScript, Node.js, Kubernetes.

At the end of Q3 2025 Topdanmark needs to be independent of the external consultants and an internal DevOps function needs to be in place. You will be an essential part in establishing this function.

  • You have at least 3 years of experience working as a DevOps engineer, with a background in developing decentralized/cloud platforms.

  • You thrive in a collaborative, open-minded team, and you have the self-discipline to balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
  • You are naturally curious and enjoy finding innovative ways to solve challenges, with a strong execution mindset.
