Coordinate the employment function for assigned departments, including recruitment, screening, and selection of qualified candidates.  Serve as an advisor for employees, management, and Administration on Human Resources policies and issues.  Participate in various Human Resources projects and functions, including but not limited to, career fairs, new hire receptions and other employee retention activities.

Work Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field preferred or 7-10 years experience in Human Resources and/or management may substitute.

Experience: 2-5 years of Human Resources work experience and familiarity with healthcare environment preferred.

Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification preferred

Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Personal computer and software, fax machine,

Copier, And Calculator.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time with some periodic mobility; ability to verbally communicate and listen to others; visual acuity to review applications, operate PC, etc.; and mental ability to learn and retain complex information and apply it with situational assessments and decision-making.

Specialized Skills: Working knowledge of state and federal laws pertinent to HR; some knowledge of benefit plans and wage and salary programs; excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and analytical abilities; ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff; ability to interpret, use good judgement, and explain applicable state and federal laws and hospital policies/procedures; ability to assess situations and demonstrate good judgement in decision-making; proficiency with PCs, software, and Internet usage; and the ability to read, write and follow instructions (oral and written).
