Your role in the team
As Senior Finance Manager, you’ll be a key strategic partner to the CFO, helping to shape and execute financial strategy across the organisation. You will take ownership of monthly reporting and forward-looking financial planning, delivering insights that influence executive decision-making and ensure alignment between local execution and global priorities.You will play a central role in driving transformation across the finance function - championing automation, advanced analytics, and process optimisation. As a leader within a high-performing team, you’ll foster innovation, continuous improvement, and a culture of excellence, while ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with UK and US regulatory standards
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to set and execute financial strategy.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to support strategic objectives.
- Oversee management and statutory reporting, ensuring compliance with UK & US GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and tax compliance frameworks.
- Drive digital finance transformation - automation, analytics, and process optimization.
- Act as a trusted advisor to global finance teams and business leaders, aligning priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
Essential Criteria
- All applicants must demonstrate they have a legal right to work in the UK for employment at Allstate. Allstate is not providing sponsorship for this vacancy.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with a minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role managing teams and complex projects.
- Proven ownership of month-end close, management accounts and yearend statutory reporting, including tax planning and external audit liaison.
- Demonstrated delivery of positive change - process improvement/automation/use of AI tools with quantified outcomes.
Desirable Criteria
- Commercial acumen - proven ability to translate complex financial data into strategic, value-driving recommendations (with quantifiable outcomes).
- Advanced Excel (e.g., complex formulas, pivots) and hands on ERP system (SAP, Workday) experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders - implementing best practice global solutions.
- Advanced time management skills including ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise and organise.
- Evidence of coaching and developing finance talent.
